Landers grandsire is the famous Ladykiller. Before his death in 1979, he sired 35 stallion sons including the twin pillars of Holstein sport horse breeding: Landgraf and Lord. Both, it should be noted, out of mares with a good percentage of Thoroughbred blood – Lord’s dam was a full Thoroughbred, while Landgraf’s dam was 25% Thoroughbred. Ladykiller xx’s breeding features all the usual suspects found on jumping Thoroughbred pedigrees – Blue Peter, Phalaris, Son in Law – the great descendants of Bay Ronald..

Fresco's grand dam is by Richmeed Medallion a stallion with a mother line rich with internationally successful dressage horses. Catherston Desert Gold is by Dutch Gold, who represented Britain at the World Championships and Olympics. Dutch Gold is in turn by the famous Dutch Courage, the World Bronze Medal Dressage horse and sire of Graded stallions and mares as well as International Dressage horses, Show Jumpers and Advanced eventers.
Medallion is well represented by progeny in showjumping and eventing and his notable FEI dressage 'kids‘ include Gracefield Fabian, Byalee Magic, Moscow and Glencoe Manhattan Chantry Monaco, Minstrel, and Mauritius, Byalee Matirx and Blue Medallion. His stock were especially known for their elegance and beauty and he also produced numerous Royal show champions including the sensational mare Mayhem.
Richmeed Medallions sire May Sherif, is certainly the most famous of the founding Danish stallions, with a pedigree is mixed with Trakehner, Holsteiner and Thoroughbred, he is recognised for his ability to pass on talent for passage and piaffe.

Cor de la Bryere is the stallion that revolutionised sport horse breeding. He became famous through the Holstein stud book with offspring renown for their shoulder freedom along with higher knee action making it possible for them to 'snap up' their front legs when jumping.
Cor de la Bryere produced many top outstanding competition horses as well as top mares and stallions at grading’s. Best known as a sire of jumpers, he also sired World Cup dressage champion Corlandus and his sons Calypso I and Calypso II are proven sires of FEI dressage horses.
